This is the start of a series of songs we'll be releasing starting this fall - and that will turn into a little album on vinyl! Blending our two worlds of vintage & music together is something we've been working on for a while now and we can't wait to take you on this journey!
Something really special is going to happen on Friday at Phii. For the first time we'll not be dropping vintage, but beautiful handmade pieces of art, called the "Book of the Sea", created by Loombound. Last April, when I was traveling in California with my little girl, I came across the beautiful crafts of Erica, who is the founder of Loombound. When I saw the "Book of the Sea" - I knew I had to bring home a few to Netherlands. The clamshells are extraordinary, found in Washington State and ethically harvested. Erica has been making these shellbooks for 10 years and this edition is called 'Sea Change', it's an ode to this time of transformation and a call to embrace the natural...
It's always a joy to see our vintage treasures in editorials. Kinda Magazine shot a new editorial called "Always Dare to Dream" - photographed by Heleen Wenniger (@by_billy_wolf). The photos perfectly capture the last days of summer and the children are styled beautifully by Maartje Zeedijk (@maartjezeedijk) - Vintage brown Carhartt's that we brought from California with a pair of clogs - brilliant. Acid OshKosh overalls worn with a brown gingham shirt and an orange tab Levi styled with a cozy knit - we love it all!
